Catalog · CODESYS Beginner · Orientation: your lab, your machine

Your first session, end to end

Draft lesson — skeleton content pending the founder’s course outline (issue #32).

In this walkthrough you will start a lab, open both links, and stop cleanly.

Steps

  1. Sign in at the portal and press Start Lab. First boot takes a few minutes — real machines are starting for you.
  2. Click Open IDE. A Windows desktop appears in the tab with CODESYS installed.
  3. Click Open Simulation. Your machine renders in a second tab — it is already connected to your PLC and waiting for a program.
  4. When you’re done, press Stop in the portal. Your C:\Projects folder is synced automatically before the machines power down.

Checkpoint

You should have seen: the session timer counting down, a Windows desktop with CODESYS, and the 3D machine idle (no program yet). Next course: your first ladder rungs.
